Watching television and film is a wonderful way for children (and adults) to improve second language ability. By listening and watching at the same time, we often understand through context what someone is saying, even before we have the language skills to understand every word.
"Petit Nicolas" is a classic French cartoon about a boy and his friends growing up in France. There are many episodes on You Tube.
YOUTUBE HELPFUL HINT: *When watching videos on Youtube, if you click on the gear wheel for settings, you can change the speed of the audio. Slowing a French video to .75 will help you listen without distorting the sound.
Netflix offers several popular childrens French Language television series . Miraculous: The Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir , Seven and Me (Sept Nains et moi), Mini Wolf (Mini-Loup) and Boss Baby are all on Netflix.
